For the first time, the French Chamber of Commerce in Canada will organize a France-Quebec Quantum Summit in collaboration with Quebec Quantum.

[Translate to Anglais:]

The Quantique event will be held virtually, in accordance with the measures requested by the government.

In partnership with Québec Quantique, the French Chamber of Commerce in Canada is organizing two half-day conferences, workshops, testimonials and discussions on the key issues and future opportunities of quantum.

Why Quantum?

For several years, research, development and investments in quantum technologies have been accelerating, both in the private and public sectors. This subject is becoming a major issue in national strategies in France as well as in Quebec. The opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the quantum field are in line with the stakes of both countries.

In this context, public-private partnerships have enabled the industrial development and commercial application of these technologies. The emergence of quantum in the real world leads us to believe in its transformative impact and its capacity to create breakthrough innovations in the following sectors :

  • Telecommunications
  • Financial services
  • Defense
  • Agriculture
  • Health

However, the implementation of these technologies requires many obstacles and issues to be solved which lead to the need for collaboration.

Our interest is to create synergies between France and Quebec, large groups, startups, governments and universities in order to guide scientific and industrial cooperation.

The objectives of this summit will be to :

  • Demystify the subject of quantum technology
  • Promote Franco-Quebec collaboration and synergies between large corporations, startups and universities
  • Facilitate exchanges on key topics: talent, intellectual property and financing (public and private)

Please find the programme below

The first day, which will take place at Centech in Montreal, will be devoted to demystifying the strategies put in place by businesses and governments.

The second day, at the University of Sherbrooke, will mobilize the concrete actions already in place within the different sectors.
